Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of the Center for the Junior Year (CJY) and the Director of Institutional Research & Effectiveness (IRE), this position will be responsible for preparation and/or coordination of data and reporting for the Center for the Junior Year, Title IIIA grant and other university grants according to specified deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in one or more of the following or related fields: Social Science, Research Methodology, Statistics, Business or Data Management.

Must have a minimum of two years of professional work experience in the area of institutional research OR was significantly involved in the design, preparation and analysis of higher educational research reports.

Must have a working knowledge of federal reporting guidelines (e.g., IPEDS definitions).

Must be proficient in Windows-based word processing, spreadsheet, database, graphic presentation packages as well as statistical and data extraction software.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree with course emphasis in research design, statistics, data management, finance, economics, and/or institutional planning is preferred.

Analyzes data using appropriate statistical techniques and experience using data visualization or organization tools.

Experience collecting data using internal research sources and deploying surveys and focus groups in order to enhance information that supports data-driven decision making.

Knowledge of website maintenance and development tools and practices.

Knowledge of Datatel/Colleague university data system.
